The brief.

Noir Apothecary makes a small, considered range of skincare products for professional women who know exactly what they want and don't need to be sold to. The product formulations were already exceptional. The packaging — off-the-shelf bottles with printed labels — was not communicating that.

The brief was to redesign the full packaging suite across their six-product range: labels, secondary boxes, and tissue inserts. Every choice needed to signal luxury without overclaiming it.

Approach

"Restraint as positioning. Minimal type, heavy stock — and one detail: a blind-embossed mark that only reveals itself in the right light."
